Belfast, known for its rich cultural heritage, recently welcomed the Comhaltas ‘Cairdeas Celebrating Connections’ tour. This event celebrated not just traditional Irish music, but also the connections that music fosters among people. Ards CCÉ were delighted to perform as part of Comhaltas’ “Concert Cairdeas” tour of Ireland, in the beautiful Belfast parliament buildings.


Through words and music, song and dance, Cairdeas was a night of celebrating all cultures and the forging of connections between people and communities.


It was a delight as always to share the stage with so many of our talented friends from the Comhaltas, Irish Dance, Indian Dance, Pipe Band and Flute Band communities.

In keeping with the celebration of Oireachtas na Samhna in Belfast this week, here’s a snippet of Jack, Maebh and Derbhla performing “Buachaill ón Éirne” as Gaeilge.
